Just north of historic Durham on Rt 147, the Lyman "complex" has a year-round market store (The Apple Barrel) with produce, backed goods, and deli; a corn maize in the fall; a golf course and club house; and Pick Your Own berries and fruit. The round-trip train ride leaves from the depot just north of Essex and takes you along the scenic Connecticut River to Chester.
